Making A Difference in Our World

We all daily have opportunities to make a difference in our world. Many times it is the simplicity of extending mercy and compassion to others, to forgive those whom trespass against us, to offer help in a time of need and to simply be Christ like towards others.

Truth being, we have all been there. Those times when we need the mercy and compassion of others extended to us during hardships, loss and just those struggles that we all encounter in life, some which can overtake us at times.

Be a world changer and let God's mercy and compassion flow through you and into the lives and needs of others. In doing so, we give Glory to God, bless others and lay up treasures in heaven.

Preachers Going Political

It’s pretty much the norm these days—preachers going “political,” speaking up for candidates who reflect common values and opinions. But the lines separating pulpit and politics, not to mention church and state, were not always as blurred as they are in our time. The harsh partisan tone, combined with the practice of take-no-prisoners-politics on the part of some Christian ministers in our day is something that can be traced back to one controversial pulpit-pounding power broker—J. Frank Norris.

At the mid-point of the 1920s, people flocked to Norris’s First Baptist Church in downtown Fort Worth, Texas—America’s original “megachurch.” He would do just about anything to draw a large crowd. Thousands came to witness his latest extravaganza.

He was a folk-hero to many.
To many others, J. Frank Norris was a MENACE.

A Must Read For Every Dad

A Faithful Dad's Guide to Legacy at Amazon.

What legacy do I want to leave for my family? This is arguably one of the most, if not the most, critical question a dad - regardless of age - will ever answer. Yet, as we think through it, a legacy isn’t just something that you produce at the end of your life, something you just whip up quickly in the kitchen like some microwave leftovers for your kids to gobble down after soccer practice. No, a legacy is, of course, something that is built up – or torn down – over time, a lifetime to be specific. It’s something developed day by day, interaction by interaction with those we love, those who love us, those closest to us. So, when I’m gone from this earth, what will I be remembered for, both good…and bad? Through authentic experiences and biblical examples, A Faithful Dad’s Guide to Legacy will equip you to leave a lasting legacy your family will treasure.
